The festival promises to be an evening filled with thought-provoking films and engaging discussions. Here’s a taster of the program and what’s in store…
Water Crisis in Focus
We’ll shine a spotlight on the UK's water system challenges with contributions from SOS Whitstable and Save Windermere. Featuring powerful documentaries "Cutting the Crap" and the poignant "Our Lake is Dying" about Lake Windermere, plus live Q&As with both directors Aletta Harrison and Matt Staniek.
Protect Our Winters to Present a Global Premiere
In an exciting festival exclusive, attendees will witness the global premiere of "Downstream," a cutting-edge documentary exploring the far-reaching impacts of melting glaciers. The screening will include a short discussion with producer Dan Yates at Protect Our Winters, and film director Huw James.
The climate change theme continues with "The Last Ride," an ambitious world’s first in global ski mountaineering, and an exploratory documentary investigating catastrophic deglaciation and its effects within the wider climate emergency - feat. Will Tucker and Ed Salisbury in a short talk.
Diverse Perspectives
The program also includes "Thrawn - A Stubbornly Scottish Snow Film" followed by more Q&As with Patagonia Films, Hannah Bailey and Lesley Mckenna. Two 10-minute films from Blue Marine Foundation will follow, and sponsors dryrobe will also share their latest short, for an evening that’s not just entertainment - but a call to action for environmental awareness and adventure enthusiasts alike.
How do I book?
Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of an evening that celebrates adventure while addressing crucial environmental issues.
Hope to see you there, for those who can make it! 🙂
